An AC conversion replaces the stock DC rear motor with a 9kW AC permanent-magnet motor and its own controller. More torque, better efficiency, regenerative braking, and Bluetooth app control — none of which a stock DC setup gives you.
Every kit ships complete with the 2 AWG power cables. We do not sell the motor on its own: stock cart wiring is not rated for the current an AC system pulls, so the cable kit is part of the package rather than an upsell.

Teekon 9kW AC Complete Kit — E-Z-GO TXT
Replaces the stock DC rear motor on an E-Z-GO TXT. Ships as one package with the motor, controller, 400A solenoid, pre-charge resistor and 2 AWG cables.
Teekon 9kW AC Complete Kit — Club Car Precedent, Onward & Tempo
The same kit for the Club Car Precedent body and the Onward and Tempo that followed it. One fitment covers all three.
Discovery 4WD Kit
Two direct-drive AC motors mounted inside the front wheels, turning the cart into a genuine 4x4. Includes both motors and both controllers. Fit it on its own, or with the Teekon rear motor as the Ultimate Bundle.

Common Questions
- What does an AC motor conversion actually change?
- It swaps the stock DC rear motor for a 9kW AC permanent-magnet motor with its own controller. AC motors make more torque, run more efficiently, and regenerate under braking — which a stock DC setup does not do. The Teekon kit adds Bluetooth app control as well.
- Does the kit include everything to install it?
- Yes — motor, 840A controller, 400A solenoid with pre-charge resistor, and 2 AWG power cables. We never sell the motor without the cable kit, because stock cart wiring is not rated for the current an AC system draws.
- Will this affect my LSV title or registration?
- It can. A vehicle titled as a low-speed vehicle must have a top speed between 20 and 25 mph, and a motor upgrade changes what the cart is capable of. If yours is documented as an LSV, call before ordering.
- What is the Discovery 4WD kit?
- Two direct-drive AC motors mounted inside the front wheels, making the cart genuinely four-wheel drive. Available on its own or paired with the Teekon rear motor.
- Which carts do these fit?
